What customers say?

“ Found this gem on Google Maps! If you’re looking for a San Sebastian cheesecake, I highly recommend this place. The portion was generous and served with homemade jam — it tasted just like something your mom would make. I also ordered a cappuccino for $5. The cheesecake was $8, and this place is definitely worth a visit! ”

“ Super friendly and attentive staff, and the food is delicious. A couple of items to note: 1) Not the largest place, so reservations are recommended, especially during peak meal hours, and 2) This restaurant is BYOB!! (There's a Fine Wine & Good Spirits on Market St. a couple of blocks away.) ”

“ The food is excellent but the wait is very long. There's only one chef in the kitchen and the waitress has to do everything else while helping in the kitchen as well. We ordered 4 tapas and one ham sandwich and it took us 2 hours to wait/eat. ”

“ We came here for my husband’s birthday and a lovely time. The food was amazing and the flavors brought him back to his study abroad days in Salamanca. The chef remembered us from event they catered at reading terminal and was incredibly kind - coming out to the table and speaking to us. Our server was attentive and awesome too! Thanks for making our night so special ”

“ God, this place is so good and appropriately priced. I am from Spain and it's frustrating going to the other "Spanish" restaurants that are super-expensive and serve food that is nothing like the food in Spain. Finally, a Spanish restaurant that serves authentic Spanish food. It's small and cute. The service was great and they even have a small shop where they sell some of their delicious food. The owner is right there preparing the food and it shows. We had the boquerones, which they marinate in the house and were great, the tortilla, which was amazing, the Ham croquettes. Everything was amazing, but the Basque cheese cake might be the best dessert in town. ”

“ We recently visited Taste of Spain and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of options. Tucked away in an unassuming location on 21st in Rittenhouse they are easy to pass by but worth the visit. On this visit we had the iberico ham croquettes, seafood paella, a rice and meatball special, hot chocolate, and finished with arroz con leche. Starting with the croquettes they are fried, creamy, and savory, a total delight. The hot chocolate was thick, rich, and super chocolatey. Onto the main meals, both had good flavor but were served barely warm. They were served very quickly so I’m guessing they were precooked and just kept warm. This was disappointing for both of us and a huge miss. We finished with the arroz con leche (rice pudding)which was cinnamon with a hint of lemon, absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back, but hoping they work the kinks out. ”

“ I recently dined at Taste of Spain, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful decor that made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. The portion sizes were perfect, and the flavors were well-balanced. Additionally, the service was impeccable—our server LAURA made sure we had everything we needed. The pricing was fair for the quality of the food and experience. I will definitely be returning soon. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience, Taste of Spain is the place to go! ”

“ I spotted this place when driving through. I love tapas, and I've lived and traveled to Spain many times. It's a small shop with clean bathrooms as well. I liked that it displayed the menu item with pictures. I'm so happy that we decided to stop here for lunch. It's a small dining area, but it wasn't busy. We received first class service from the moment we walked in with our children. The dining and kitchen ares are very clean and welcoming. Each dish was fresh and delicious. The service and staff were on point. It was a PERFECT place for a light and refreshing lunch. MUCHAS GRACIAS. We loved everything we ordered and look forward to trying more. Buena suerte en tu futuro. ”
